Coffee Farmer – Age 31

Elicha Ndaipa is a farmer in Socera, located in the Manica Province and is a mother to six children who are primarily still in school. Elicha initially supported her family’s income by working with local cash crops like corn and bananas. In January 2022, she participated in Café Vumba’s Women in Coffee program, an initiative to end the poverty cycle affecting women coffee farmers across the Manica area. Thanks to the program, she was able to plant 2580 Coffee Trees in the 1 hectare of land she acquired. In addition, in June of 2022, Elicha was rewarded with sustainable coffee farming lessons from Café Vumba for her excellent agricultural practices.
