Saimon Macacha
Coffee Farmer – Age 68
Farmer Saimon Macacha has been farming around the Vumba Mountain in the Manica Province. He has two children who help him around his farm, where he initially worked with the local cash crops before adding coffee to his 0.5-hectare plot in March of 2021. Café Vumba rewarded him with extended coffee farming practices lessons for good agricultural practices in 2021 and 2022, where he was able to boost his expertise in soil health and crop management.
The Café Vumba’s training initiative allows farmers like Saimon to have more knowledge and boost their farming initiatives. Saimon has sustainably planted 1755 Coffee Tress in an area of 3500 square meters.
